Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met with Vietnamese ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi in Beijing on 9 June 2017. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening China-Viet Nam agricultural cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Minister Qu thanked the Vietnamese side for its participation in the First China International Tea Expo in Hangzhou in May 2017. Vice Minister Qu noted that both China and Viet Nam are major agricultural countries in the world. Based on existing cooperation results, the two countries could work together with innovative modes of cooperation. He suggested that the two sides increase exchanges and cooperation in internet plus in agriculture, transboundary animal disease control, agricultural policy and other areas. Vice Minister Qu invited the Vietnamese side to the China International Agricultural Trade Fair (CATF) in Beijing in the upcoming September.
The Vietnamese Ambassador fully agreed with Vice Minister Qu and expressed his appreciation for China's support to Viet Nam in agricultural development. The Vietnamese side is willing to work with China for greater achievements in bilateral agricultural trade and agricultural development of the two countries.
